Title: Phew, it's really hot!

Last week, all we had was rain and now it's suddenly really hot. Heat wave hot! :P Anyway, this week I have a new Pokémon tutorial and a new fakemon for you guys:

There is also a short tutorial on how to soft shade pictures in Photoshop. Enjoy and have a nice weekend! Don't forget that you only have a few days left to enter DPA's contest. You still have over a month to enter mine.

This week I have an extra long SoL page for you, and I've also got some gallery entries, two Pokémon tutorials and some fan art:

I'm a little fed up with the Pokémon tutorials clogging up my to-do-list, so I want to get them done as soon as possible. And after that, I want to take a break from them for a while. Heh. Anyway, I hope you'll enjoy it. I have also added some new links to the links page.
Now for some school news: it seems I won't be done as soon as I had hoped I would. That's mostly because I'm stuck until my teacher gets back from her vacation. So I guess that means I'll be kicking back for a while too. It sucks, because I would have rather finished this master thesis next week (or last week), but unfortunately things just don't work that way. Oh well...

Hello again! The new comic is up, as usual. I also have the sketch for the previous popularity poll up, and I've received two new fan art submissions from Mimey and Destinie:

I thought it was rather funny that Destinie made a gag in which Solly has someone snatching one of his deliveries from his hands, in the exact same week in which this also happens in the actual comic. How perfect! Heh.
I'm afraid these are the only new additions this week. I would also have had the Medicham tutorial up, if it hadn't been for some RL issues (family party). But that's ok, it'll probably be up next week. But I did reorganize the SoL Archives. It's something I've been wanting to do for some time now and I'm rather proud of the way it turned out. Enjoy! And don't forget to enter the contest!

So much for the breathing space... Heheheh. Man, I really hope I'll be able to finish that master thesis soon. Very soon. As always, there are some more doodles in the galleries:

The popularity poll for the human SoL characters is now closed. It was very close, but in the end Sandy was the most popular character. I'm actually surprised by how this poll went and I'm also kind of happy that the fanclub kids got some votes too. Expect to see the poll-results sketch come up somewhere next week.
Finally, I would like to say a few things about the contest. Some of you have uploaded entries to sites such as DA, but didn't send me notes about it. The thing is, I won't be able to see those entries, unless you also actually note my about them. I'm currently watching a lot of people, so in order to keep my watchlist from exploding, I didn't tick off everybody's 'watch this person's new deviations'-box. I know... That's actually MY problem, but what I'm saying is this: Just uploading your picture on a site like DA won't guarantee that I'll also see it. Please notify me and I'll answer saying that your entry has been added to the others.
Also I'd like to point out that I've decided that I'll probably make the cameo roles to be won, a little bigger than I originally intended. Second place winners may have actual characters with a couple of actual lines in SoL now. And first place winners will obviously get bigger roles. Just wanted you to know that.
Entries are rather slow right now, as there are currently more prizes than entrants. This could be your big chance people! The Uncia and Fakemon contests in particular are underentered (is that a word?). Good luck!
