Bleh... I couldn't draw a forest if my life depended on it... Anyway, this Pokémon was (mostly) designed by my brother, Matthew. He made up a raptor-like grass-rock type Pokémon, which is a fully evolved starter. He wanted the raptor to look fierce and spikey, because it can roll up into a wheel and use Roll Out to attack. All I did, was add leaves (even though Matt said it was a grass-type, his design lacked any references to plants) and make up the name: Velograde.
This Pokémon is about seven feet tall and twelve feet long from nose to tail tip. Velograde is a carnivore and a fierce predator. It has been known to hunt in packs, but it is also perfectly capable of hunting on its own. Velograde has various hunting techniques. Its camouflage allows Velograde to ambush prey. It also likes to chase prey animals, either on foot or by running it over with Roll Out (Velograde doesn't mind eating flat food). Its natural habitat is the jungle, where it prefers to live as far away from humans as possible. Tamed Velogrades have been known to have trouble adjusting to their trainers. Only when Velograde was trained by a human at a very young age, will it have no problems taking orders.
In battle, Velograde will usually use physical attacks, such as Slash, Bite, Crunch, Leaf Blade, Triple Kick, Roll Out and Roll Over (a (made up) stronger version of Roll Out). It will also learn Defense Curl, Solar Beam, Detect, Synthesis, Razor Leaf and Metal Claw. Velograde will learn various TMs, HMs and eggmoves, including Cut, Strength, Rock Climb, Rock Smash, Dragon Claw, Iron Tail, Protect, Zen Headbutt, Amnesia and Earthquake.
Velograde's stats are mostly geared towards Defense, Attack and Speed. It's Special Defense and Attack are not so hot, but Velograde can still operate as a physical tank. It also has sweeper capabilities, although its Defense is generally better than its Attack power. With its above average Speed, Velograde is essentially a swift tank, with the capabilities to bite back hard, when necessary.

Matthew originally wanted Velograde to have a huge club on its tail, but after a while I managed to convince him that spikes, or actually sharp leaves, would be better. A club doesn't really say 'swift raptor' to me...
