December 24th, 2008 Photoshop and drawingtablet Fourth sketch trade! Nicxter asked me to draw Orthrus, a two-headed dog from Greek mythology, and brother of the much more famous Cerberus. It's funny, I consider myself fairly knowledgeable about mythological creatures, but I had never heard of Orthrus before... Anyway, I drew him chasing his tail (sort of). Because even demonic dogs are really just dogs. His pose was sort of inspired by medieval heraldry... Heh. Orthrus in azure climbing in a field of silver while looking back. Don't ask... By the way, judging by the image Nicxter provided as reference, I'd say that this particular design is from a creature in a game. I have no idea which game though, so I don't know who to credit for it. Sorry, you'll have to ask Nicxter. XD
