Time to finally start sketching. Make sure you switch to the layer called 'Sketch' first. You don't
want to doodle all over your frames, because later you'll really need them to be clean. I already mentioned this before, but this tutorial was already slightly outdated when I wrote it. Nowadays I make my sketches using a bigger brush and I make them in color. That's so I can distinguish them from the final linework later on, but how you decide to do it is totally up to you. Now you may already have noticed this, but the sketch showing Nick in panel 4 if different from the way this character looks in the completed comic. I decided that Nick looked just a little bit too crazy, so I changed the panel later on. Besides, Matt was also shown screaming in anger and I thought that a page filled with tantrum throwing teenagers would be... rather boring... ;)

After I finish the sketch, I add the dialogues. I usually use a different color for the text, so that
I can tell it apart from the sketches. Adding the text now, helps to determine if there is enough room
for it. It really, really sucks to complete a beautiful panel, only to find out that there is not
enough room for the text and the speechbubbles. The next step, before drawing the final linework, is to adjust the transparency of the Sketch layer. I usually set it between 30 and 60%. I do this so I can really distinguish the linework from the sketch. That's quite important and it's also the reason why I started sketching in color quite soon after making this tutorial. Now we're all set to work on the final linework.
