Hitmonlee is a slightly more complex character to draw, so I hope this next bit will be clear. First draw an egg shape, with its round side up and draw two small ovals on either side. These are the torso and the shoulders. Draw an arched cross over the torso, because this will help you determine the correct position of the eyes and legs. Also draw the beginning of Hitmonlee's upper legs and draw two lines down. These will be his legs. Next, draw his legs with two fluently drawn lines for each leg. Hitmonlee does not have 'leg-shaped' legs with knees and ankles and so. In stead, he has legs shaped like tubes. They could in theory bend at any point and in any direction. Freaky...
Draw two ovals for the feet. Also start adding the arms and draw small circles where the palms of the hands will be. Draw almondshaped eyeholes, on top of the crossbar of the cross you drew earlier. Now connect the arms to the hands and draw three large fingers on each hand. Like most Pokémon, Hitmonlee does not have thumbs, so you just draw fingers, with three digits each. Now you can add details such as the ballshaped thingies he has on both sides (inside and outside) of each foot, the three claws on each foot and the eyes, which are partially hidden in the eyeholes you drew earlier.
The last thing to do is to draw the donutshaped rings around his legs and lower arms. I looked long and hard to determine how many rings go around Hitmonlee's limbs, but it seems to vary a lot. The most common amount of rings around the lower arms is three or four per arm, while there can be between five to eight rings around each leg. I'm going to stick to seven rings for the legs and four rings for the arms, because that appears to be the most common. The eyes only consist of dark, slightly oval pupils. There is no iris and no reflective light.

Which leads me to the following discussionpoint: since Hitmonlee basically has no face (no nose or mouth), how does he eat?
